International Study Tours: Connecting Educators Globally Since 2010

The Learning Caravan has been organising international study tours since 2010. Our small group tours have attracted educators from around the world, including Taiwan, Greece, Norway, the USA, the UK, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.

These tours serve as professional learning circles for early childhood educators eager to deepen their understanding of the emergent curriculum and the Reggio Emilia approach. Participants will visit carefully selected early years settings, connect with fellow educators globally, engage in meaningful discussions, and generate fresh ideas to inspire and transform their teaching practice.

Join a community of educators committed to emergent curriculum, the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and mindful, respectful teaching.

Participating in an overseas study tour is a unique opportunity to enhance professional development by immersing yourself in diverse educational environments. These tours are designed to provide deep insights into best practices and innovative approaches in early childhood education.

Client Feedback

What I liked about The Learning Caravan?
I met with other teachers who worked in Reggio-inspired ways, learnt from what they had accomplished and had the opportunity to reflect with them about the work with children. We were all inspired and got lots of ideas to new projects to do with the kids. For instance, last week we built an outdoor kitchen in the kindergarten. I had also seen that some of the staff reflecting more about how they can work more Reggio principles into their daily work. We learnt how important it is that adults working with the children think about the children's interests. So I think that our trip to Stockholm and meeting all of you paid off well.
